Message from the Executive Director

Syed Hasanat Shah

Executive Director

T he Centre of Excellence for CPEC has been established as a knowledge and research hub for informing decision-makers, investors, institutions, and stakeholders working to advance Pakistan-China cooperation. CPEC has revolutionized Pakistan’s transport infrastructure, overhauled the energy grid, improved connectivity, and modernized deep-sea port operations through the completion of pivotal early-harvest projects. These achievements have laid a resilient foundation for sustainable economic growth.

As we progress through CPEC Phase 2.0, our focus has strategically evolved to industrialization, agricultural modernization, energy security, and technological advancement. This new phase will actively foster a conducive environment for business-to-business (B2B) collaborations, trade promotion, foreign direct investment, and job creation for our vibrant youth.

The Centre will work with government bodies, Chinese and Pakistani think tanks, universities, businesses, development partners, and international organizations to promote regional integration and development. Guided by its commitment to excellence, the Centre will unlock new opportunities for development and regional collaboration and will promote Pakistan standing.

Syed Hasanat Shah
